It's pretty easy to get your photo to show up. Register with http://en.gravatar.com/ with the email address you usually use when making comments. That's all I did, and my avatar(picture) shows up where ever I comment on a wordpress or blogger blogs. I'm sure it works with other blogs as well just not sure what else is out there.
