There are a great number of people that don’t know what passive income streams are. I want to share with you today, not only what they are, but why you should have multiple passive income streams.

Wikipedia defines passive income itself as: an income received on a regular basis, with little effort required to maintain it. So, obviously passive income streams are having several income streams that are passive.

So, when you go to work everyday from 9am to 5pm, that is active income. If you’re not at work “actively” working then you’re not making income.

When you are investing in real estate as a wholesaler and you’re chasing deals and buyers everyday that is again active income.

Why not leverage your time? Take back your time and your life all while creating passive income streams that will ensure your financial future?

You can always only work so many hours in a day. You. But money, on the other hand, can work for you all of the time. And the more money you have by creating multiple passive income streams, the more your money can grow and work for you.

What Kind of Passive Income Streams Should You Look For?

There are all types of passive income streams that you could add into your income column. Some may require a little more of a time “investment” then others.

But still, none of these passive income streams once they get going will a) require you to work 40 hours a week, b) will make you only take 2 weeks vacation and c) will have you spend more time with your co-workers then with your family and friends.

Of course, you can spend 40 hours a week, if you want to, creating passive income streams. The key phrase there just in case you didn’t catch it was if you want to.

Some ideas for passive income streams are:
1) The ATM business is an awesome idea for passive income streams. This is one of my major passive income streams that I use.

2) Multi-family investing or rental real estate is another awesome idea to add to your passive income streams. Again, this is another one of my major passive income streams that I have in my toolbox.

3) Network Marketing/MLM is a fantastic way to get some passive income streams going. A lot of folks will refer to it as residual income as well. And there are some similarities and differences between the two. But the idea is the same for both!

4) Creating blogs and websites like this one are a great way to accumulate some passive income streams. You can sell affiliate products and make a commission on them or make money off of adsense.

Folks, the list goes on and on…I honestly could be here for days talking about passive income streams for you to take part in. The key for you is to pick just one for now and develop it and then watch your money work for you. When your money is continuously working for you and you not for money, then you’re well on your well to adding multiple passive income streams to your life.

And ultimately, claiming back YOUR TIME and YOUR FINANCIAL FREEDOM all thanks to passive income streams.

This evening I had something occur and because of that I just knew I wanted to reach out to folks and let them know that you can grow your business by building relationships.

As you know I’m in the real estate business and the ATM business. But in this post when I talk about how to grow your business, the reality is that you can be in any business. I’m not just talking about a real estate business or an ATM business.

This evening Kathy and I were filling our gentlemen’s club ATM. The owner came out to chat with us as he usually does when he is there. He’s a super nice guy, very personable and funny. We talk about anything you can think of: religion, politics, business, money, life, kids, relationships, etc.

I almost forgot. Not only do you try to grow your business, but I’m always trying to grow my businesses. With that in mind, I am trying to get my ATM in another gentlemen’s club that I heard about. But the manager shot me down.

Ok, back to this evening. While talking to the owner of the gentlemen’s club that we have our ATM in, I asked him if he knew the owner of the ATM club where the manager shot me down. He said no. I told him that I was trying to get our ATM in there but the manager just wouldn’t give me the time of day and just wouldn’t let me talk to the owner.

Do you know what he said to me? He said, “I don’t know who owns it, but I will call them for you and talk to him. I will just tell them I own a club here and I want to speak to the owner. When I get to the owner I will tell them about you guys and how good you are to me and my business. I’m just going to tell him how awesome you are.”

I was like, “really?” lol (I’m such a dork sometimes.) And he said “Absolutely.” He went on to say “you guys are so good to me. You always make sure this machine is working, you hardwired the machine into the club (so it doesn’t get interference anymore) and this machine is never empty. You always make sure there is money in here whenever I need it, especially when we have big events going on. I like you guys a lot and think you are awesome.”

I can’t even tell you how good that made me feel. I gave him a hug and said thank you.

I really can’t stress enough how important it is start building and maintaing relationships in order to grow your business. From the beginning, we’ve been very personable, very easy to get along with, easy to work with, took care of anything that came up with the machine even if it wasn’t something major.

We treated him always with the same respect that we would want to be treated with. And it’s paying off.

Do you think his other vendors come in and ask him how his wife is doing? Or ask him how his new beagle puppy is that he just got?

To grow your business you have to be willing to grow and build your relationships with the people that you do business with. Whether you build widgets, invest in real estate or have an online business you have to build a relationship with your base.

It would be impossible to grow your business in any arena if you weren’t always building relationships with the folks you want to do business with.

How Do You Build Relationships In Order To Grow Your Business

Be personable. Be trustworthy. Have integrity. Always do what you say you’re going to do. And treat other people as you would want to be treated, no matter if they run a strip club, a church, a half-way house or a liquor store. Treat people properly and it will pay you 1,000 times over when you are trying to grow your business.

Can you think of any specific instances where building relationships helped you to grow your business?

I spoke to the folks yesterday and I have something pretty big (for me, anyway) in the works
for my ATM Business Blueprint course. This is being postponed until 2012 (later in the year.)

Which was a relief and also a blessing at the same time. I mean it would have been exciting
to do this right now (it would have been very last minute) but now I actually have some time
to perfect my speaking and my presentation.

And like my accountability partner said about me having a lot of time to practice and perfect
things, that will be my ticket to “a long term relationship.” Which I think would be a beautiful thing!

I know I’m being secretive but trust me, it’s really cool and I’m hoping to pull it off next year.

Definitely you all will be in the loop. For now, I’m going to be doing online webinars,
interviews and speaking engagements for my ATM Business Blueprint course. All the while, while looking for multi-family properties.

Yessss! Fun, Fun, Fun! Seriously, don’t people have better things to do? (Guess not?) Anywho, I had to get that taken care of first.

Then after they were all cleaned up I had to make a decision. Do I want that to happen again or not? lol Obviously, I opted for not.

So, I’ve been working with the guy who helped me get rid of the mess the hackers created and we fixed up all of my websites (about 5 or 6) and then we slowly moved each one over to a new hosting company. I feel much better this way. It’s a bit more expensive a month but they scan your sites every day for hackers. (I’m sure they can’t spot ‘em all, I guess? But it’s better then what I did have going on. Nothing!)

I can promise now that you’ll be seeing and hearing more from me again. Woohoo! I know some of you are happy and some of you are thinking Oh noooooooooooo!

I just got done my self-defense class so I’m off to get a shower. We will talk again soon. Btw, a little bit of exciting news.

Anywho, I wanted to share this call from someone with you. It made me chuckle and shake my head.

Sooooo, can anyone tell me what was missing from this message? I wanted to title this “dumb potential buyer messages” but I figured I’d be nice.

I really liked it when he did that and I tried to find it again on his blog but I couldn’t. I remember reading his blog that day and thought to myself “I want to do one of these posts.”

Soooooooo, although it’s plenty of posts later…here it is. My “10 25 Things You Didn’t Know About Me” post (or I should say probably didn’t know about me.)

1. My favorite type of music is R&B and Hip-Hop (favorite band is 112.)

2. Even though my favorite type of music is R&B and Hip-Hop; I have a very eclectic taste in music. I like all kinds. In my collection you will find Beethoven, Bach, Ozzy Osbourne, Frank Sinatra, King Diamond, Madonna, Tiffany, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, Bonnie Tyler, R. Kelly (I know Shae, I know lol) and much, much more.

3. I don’t admit it to many people but I loveeeee Tiffany (remember the shopping mall singer from the 80′s. “I think we’re alone now!”) When I need to paint or do any type of housework, man I jam to some Tiffany (I hope ya’ll still respect me after this post! lol)

4. I have a counting/math/number OCD. I count everything. Tiles on the floor, ceiling panels, designs in a door, checkers on a shirt, etc. It’s always a treat at nite when it’s bedtime. I look at the digital clock and you know how it will say let’s say: 11:32, well I’ll count the lines in the 11:32 number and then whatever number I come up with let’s say in this case it’s 14, then I’ll try to do some type of math problem with the numbers in 11:32 to get the number 14. So, I’d say in my head ok “11 + 3 = 14.” Well Kathy sees me every night look at the clock and do my lil calculations in my head and every night I hear “stop looking at the dam clock! and she turns the clock away!” *shrug* she just doesn’t understand.

5. I absolutely love to play No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournaments (I get to use my counting/math/number OCD. Perfect combo!) And I’m pretty decent to boot.

6. I’ve made a TV final table for a women’s poker tournament in Las Vegas, Nevada.

7. I use to work at QVC and I worked backstage with the guests, models, hosts, etc. And a lot of times I would get “air-time” to do things. That was my favorite part of the job because I can be such a ham!

8. I use to work at a radio station (WNWR-AM 1540) where I did an early morning Gospel Radio Program on Sundays.

9. I have a huge heart for animals, children, the elderly and minorities (especially as you would have expected GLBT folks.) I will always stick up for people who can’t stick up for themselves or for people that aren’t being treated fairly.

10. I’m getting married to my partner of over 5 years on September 10th, 2011 in Cape May, NJ on the beach. I’m 37 and have never been married before. I’m excited, but honestly, we’ve been living as a married couple for so long now that well I think it’s just a formality but one that means a whole heck of a lot. Something about exchanging vows and wedding bands…….I think that says (and means) a whole heck of a lot! (Plus, she’s a saint for putting up with me!)

11. Here’s a bonus one (or 2): I can teach you how to cash in on the ATM business by owning your own ATM machines and I can potentially teach you a little bit about real estate investing if you hang around here

Ok so I feel like I robbed ya because I found Scotty’s original post and he told you 25 things about him! And I only did 10, well 11. So here is another 14 lol

12. I have a tattoo of a cat on my left calf. It is of my cat Buddy, who I had to have put to sleep when he was only 5 (he had a lot of internal problems.) So that tattoo was my memorial to him because he was so young. It does it’s job too. People always ask about it. (Love you buddy….miss you kid!)

13. And if you haven’t guessed yet, my cats are my kids. I have 3 cats and in my heart they are my kids. Kathy, my partner has 2, 2 legged kids lol (plus she has 1 cat.)

14. I try to juice in the morning most of the time. My signature juice is: 4 carrots, 2 apples and a handful of parsley. Yum!

15. I make a mean black bean and quinoa salad. DEEEE-lish.

16. I don’t know how to swim I mean I probably could manage if you just tossed me in the water, but I am not comfortable at all with swimming. Don’t ever ask me to save you, cuz we’d BOTH be in trouble.

17. I proposed to Kathy in Atlantic City, NJ at the Borgata Hotel and Casino and I had the help of the Borgata in pulling off my proposal. (Big shout out to Ray Steffanelli, Director of Poker Marketing and Jeff Shurilla, Borgata Blogger! These 2 guys, especially Jeff, helped me pull my proposal off without a hitch.) *Note- Kathy and I actually met at a poker tournament in Atlantic City, hence the A.C. proposal!

18. I don’t like raisins all that much, hate them in carrot cake, but I love them in my cereal (I’m eating Raisin Bran right now.)

19. People tend to say that I’m a very loyal person. And I tend to agree with them.

20. I have a license to carry and I have a 9mm gun and believe it or not, I’m actually a pretty good shot (a robber is in trouble if they step into my house!)

21. I’m fiscally conservative and socially liberal.

22. When I was a little kid I wanted to grow up to be a little black boy (true story, my mom tells it to folks to this day!) Of course, I don’t remember it, but hey, I’m trying to tell you some things you didn’t know about me and I’m quite sure my mom is telling the truth lol

23. My mom is my hero. She’s the 1 person in this world that I love, respect and cherish more than anything (we’re talking about NON-spouses here folks lol) She’s helped make me the person I am today. She’s always believed in me and showed me love more than anyone else on this planet. And as an adult, I learned all of the things my mom had to sacrifice and struggle with to not only raise me as a wonderful, productive member of society, but really to make sure she stayed a sane, supportive and loving mom (which I don’t think any of that was in question. You know the term unconditional love? Look it up, there’s probably a pic of me and mom there lol)

Anyway, I admire my mom greatly and a lot of what I am striving to do is so that I can take care of my mom so she doesn’t have to work anymore and she can enjoy life a heck of a lot more. I love you mom. Thank you for everything you’ve done (and continue to do.)

24. Growing up; I was an all-star softball player and basketball player. I think it’s because off of fields and out of the uniforms I only played with boys. I played baseball with boys, played basketball with boys…..when I was little my best friend was a boy and I usually got along better with boys then girls lol

25. I’m a procrastinator. That’s a constant work in progress. I’m getting better. Writing things down helps immensely!

Bonus: 26. This is something that people always find unbelievable when I tell them (and I have no idea why.) But I have never smoked a cigarette in my life. Never. Didn’t even try it. Not even a puff. Not only that but I have never in my life ever did drugs. Not even pot. People always say that people like me are very rare. As far as alcohol goes…..I’m not much of a drinker. Maybe will have a couple drinks every 6 months or so. My per session limit is 2 tho lol L-I-G-H-T W-E-I-G-H-T

Ok…that’s about it for the 10 25 things you (probably) didn’t know about me. Soooo….what are some things that I probably don’t know about you?

So, the bandit sign police got me…..twice within a couple of weeks! And in 2 different areas to boot.

I decided I wanted to start getting more real estate deals a brewing (I’ve been on hiatus working on the ATM Business course.)

When I want my phone to start ringing what do I do? I put out bandit signs. Love me some bandit signs.

My phone definitely started ringing from my bandit signs. wGood calls and uhhh not so good calls. This is basically my “how to” on how to deal with the bandit sign police.

1st bandit sign police call was in my neck of the woods. BSP: You’re not allowed to put those signs on states roads.

I proceeded to be sweet as pie to the bandit sign police and he then said “well I will let you go out and pick them up instead of having my guys do it cause I know they are expensive. Just try to keep ‘em off of the state roads.”

I asked him to elaborate on what a “state road” is and how I can tell. He told me but to tell ya’ll the truth, I honestly looked while driving around but I can’t see any signs that say SR that are posted near speed limit signs.

I never went to pick up my bandit signs. I forget where I put all my bandit signs! The good ones are still up and I even got a deal signed up from my bandit signs last week!)

2nd bandit sign police call: This one was a call from the guy who works in the township where I have my rental property for sale. I put up handwritten bandit signs to try to sell my rental property. This is how this one went down.

He left me a voicemail that said: You can’t have those signs up, they are illegal in the township. You need to come and get them before I take them down. Thank you.

So, me, being me…well I called him I was, of course, sweet as pie. Told him I was sorry but I was just trying to sell my house cause my real estate agent sucks (sorry dad hehe) I proceeded to ask him what the rule was for real estate agent signs for the weekends? And if I could do like they do and maybe put out on Friday and pick up Sunday night?

BSP2 said: well, if you have a sign on your property then you can actually put signs around the area that SEND people to your house. That’s the only way it would be legal. The signs have to send them to your property.

I said…ok I will take care of them this weekend. All bandit signs will now send them to my property for sale.

He said ok but he wants to verify to make sure. I’m going to do it anyway and if when he verifies and it’s not the case, well I’ll just ask for forgiveness from the bandit sign police.

Btw, these conversations took me back a few years when I got my very first call from the bandit sign police. It was a woman and I actually went in to see her to get my bandit signs. We struck up a conversation and I left there knowing exactly how to follow the rules of the township and keep putting my bandit signs out!
